The 2017 college football season is at the midway point and it’s been quite a good one for those who have been paying attention. If you haven’t been following, now is the perfect time to jump in. There is no better way to watch all the gridiron action than on DISH Network, as you can get access to nearly every game and any sports channel imaginable by subscribing to the satellite television and internet provider.
There are a still plenty of undefeated teams through seven weeks of play, but many could fall soon as the schedule gets tougher late in the fall. Alabama is still the nation’s top program thanks to an unblemished 7-0 record, but Penn State (6-0), Georgia (7-0), TCU (6-0) and Wisconsin (6-0) are nipping on the Crimson Tide’s heels. Georgia and Alabama won’t meet during the regular season this year, but these SEC powerhouses are quite likely to square off during a trip to the conference championship game later this year.
While fans probably will have to wait and get some luck to see the Dawgs take on ‘Bama, the upcoming slate is still chock-full of hugely important, can’t-miss contests across the power conferences. Week 8 alone has two matchups on tap between ranked schools, while also boasting a number of other marquee pairings.
The two most notable games in Week 8 are as followed: No. 19 Michigan taking on No. 2 Penn State in a Big 10 battle, and No. 11 USC going up against No. 13 Notre Dame in the latest chapter of their historic rivalry. These are games that any college football fan can enjoy, regardless of rooting interest.
While both of those will be airing on network TV, there are plenty of other contests across the weekend that won’t be as easy to find if you aren’t a DISH subscriber. With access to the full suite of ESPN, FOX, CBS and various conference networks, you’ll have no problem catching your alma mater in action, or taking a look at just about any team you could imagine.
If you are still on the fence about subscribing, DISH offers a revolutionary way for collegiate pigskin fans to take in all this action and that is through its game-changing Sports Bar mode. You can stay home and still get the full experience of going out to the bar by watching up to four games at once on a single television. You’ll be able to flip through the stats and scores for every game at the same time, using the provider’s built-in applications that run on the side.
